I would agree. I'm around 160-165whp @ 2500lbs and I run 14.4 on a nice hot day.

have you dyno'd the car? if your making 180whp you should see low low 14s if not high 13's on street tires........i saw that you had a b16a and wasnt shure what you were dynoing......isnt too manny b16a's pushing 180whp. I would lighten the car a little more and you should see low low 14's THAT IS IF YOUR PUSHING 180whp ... i find it very hard to beleive that the set up you said is pushing 180whp ecspecially from a 1.6....does the previous owner have dyno sheets...you should post them

another note....my car STOCK weighs 2359pounds

hey man this is a b16a 170hp sirII motor..10.4to 1 compression..the motor itself has 11.3 to one now when he put the motor in. he pulled 147hp and 105tq to the wheels...a b16a can make the same about of hp as a b18 but the torque no..the car is making almost 120tq..and thats where you can get me..but i run even with my friend with a 99SI with a b18c1 with toda B's and toda valvetran with mugen twinloop. so topend should count for something..hey..im just trying to figure out what to expect.. we are also going to dyno tune the car. the cams and the vafc. ill let you know for sure..but ive had many people drive this car and thing its running 175-180. thanks for the help.

As I've realized, through reading a lot on this website and other's...

Part + Part: does not equal a time or hp...

There are too many variables that will effect the power the engine makes, and way too many variables that will affect the quarter mile times...

Dyno it, and run it at the track - thats the only way...

i agree 631 teggy...i was just asking to get a feel of things...its getting tuned this saturday and ran the following sunday. Just didnt want to think something and be way off. This is my first hybrid..owned a S2000 and a Acura CL type S 6spd which both were fast..teh CL felt really fast with all that torque. Was just wondering. With a hybrid i can imagine all the variables. At least i have an idea with a stock car. They post them in magazines to give you some sort of idea. Again. Thanks..just hoped someone had alot of the same stuff i had on my car..and ran theirs..thanks again

Maybe my butt dyno is knumb..haha..seee yah guys

Let me shed more light. My setup: 2000 Civic Si. Bolt-ons, CTR Cams, OBD1, Clutch/Flywheel. Got dyno'd 151whp on a Mustang Dyno the other day. Even in my heavy beast and only 151whp, I run 14.4@95 w/2.2 60' time. It's very possible he can run mid-low 14's if he knows what he's doing.

If you are dynoing 175-180 low 14's.
If your dynoing 150 territory high 14s to 15flat.
This all depend on whether you are a good driver and the track conditions.
If the track is pefect at sea level or near
With 70 degree whether
you might hit 14.4-14.5 with 150 or so whp
and in the same conditions with 180whp you could hit high 13s.
I know its starting to get cold so you might get a lot of wheel spin which will kill your times.

For example:
I raced in 50 degree weather at a shitty prepped track
i was spinning first when vtec kicked,
into second really bad(like a turbo car),
and into third again (like a turbo car)
all i could muster was 14.5
With about 180whp

I have never ever spun into second or third like that
except in turbo cars and thats on the street even

oh and unsprung..151 on a mustang dyno is about 180 on a regular one..thats good power..my friend just got 160 on a mustang dyno with his type R which they told him is about 190 on a regular one. his type R runs at best 13.9. so your 14.4 is believable by me . Be safe you guys.....Des,

I love proving people wrong. I'll have the dyno chart hopefully tomorrow. I have a graph if you really want to see it, but his printer was out of ink. Up to you, this should be proof enough for you though.
