fastest bolt on f22/f23??
I'm wondering what the fastest time is with an f22 or f23 engine in an accord/cl, with only bolt on's. Right now I have just e/i/h plugs and wires, and it's still slow as ****!! I was thinking about getting a hi flow cat and pulleys next, but do you guys think i'll still be really disopointed?? Has anyone gotten close to breaking 15 seconds without doing any internal work?? (no n20)
thanks.
thanks.
yeah kentucky accord was like really low with his whole car gutted
your accord will be slower then normal cars. .just deal..
its the point that you took a 17 sec car to 15 already.. good job

i know i know. thats really what i want to do, but i've got to make this car last 4 more years. (through college) so I kinda want to keep it n/a) and since i'm in cali, i don't feel like buying a 98+ h22 to keep it legal, with obd2
so kentuky, your mild head work is basically the gude head package?? I've considered this a few times, but can't find anyone to vouch for the gains.

I have a civic with a d16y7 and I know that I cant put a B series tranny into it. So you can put a h22 tranny into a f22? auto or manual or both?
EDIT: HOLY ****.... I just looked at kentucky accord's pics of his car. I thought you meant no backseat, spare, A/C, ect when you meant stripped. I was thinking about to buy a 6 gen accord and follow your plans to reach 13.91. That is one stripped out car. He has the freakin intake sticking out of his headlight. Certainyl not a street car.

some members here claim mid-high 15's with a bolt-on 5th gen 5-speed. seems a little low but i guess it's possible.
but with just bolt-ons, if you take it to the track you will be disappointed (unless you gut the **** out of it), but on the street that's enough to give you a sporty ride around town, and in the end that's more important for a daily driver than 1/4 mile times. unless you street race at every stoplight, that is.

yes, yes, yes, and yes. there might be slight modifications needed, but in general the f and h series tranny's are all interchangable.

they are a direct bolt up, H/F clutchs, and Flywheels are the same thing,
even with auto's the Torque Convetor swaps back and forth

Im considering that bc my tranny grinds 5th if im going above 100 when i switch into it. Also will the h22 tranny drop my 1/4 time bc lower gearing.</TD></TR></TABLE>
i love the f22/h22 combo but its not for everyone. cruising speed of 80mph=4500rpm. shifting @ 6800 your in 3rd gear by 48mph and top out 5th gear@6800rpm doing 112-115mph.
and yes, it will improve your 1/4 mile time.

really? how many tenths would you estimate here with just e/i/h?? just curious, i wouldn't do this unless my tranny was having issues.

well the stock f22 tranny should max out at around 150+ mph, so yes, that is substantially shorter...mainly because of the 6200 rpm redline of the f22 vs the 7200 rpm redline of the h22...
