My first problem is that it resets everytime I start the car, I know this has been covered in the past and I've just spent the last 15 mins trying different entries for the search and couldn't find the answer.

Second problem has to do with lighting... Its really dull when the headlights are on, and it flickers slightly. Maybe this is related to the first problem?

ive had that problem that u r having and i took my car to sears and they tested the batery and they told me that it was bad and they replaced it with a new one and then the blinking stoped try puting in a new batery in

 

Hmm, I'll see if its the battery - just gotta plug in the RSM to check voltage.

Anyone know whats causing the clock to reset?

 

check the wht-blu wire, its the battery (memory) wire, if could be messed.

check with the car off, push the cover of the clock to make it come on, if it comes on it is ok, if not the battery wire is messed

 

your backup fuse might be blown too
