its gonna continue becuase of the demand we place on GSR/LS engines .. really not stealign the car for the car but rather for the parts. Its best to leave it stock but evne then its a statistic.

true, but when insurance says they'll cover it, it makes you feel better, but when it actually happens, and they dont cover it, you have a nice rude awakening.

P.S. my cars from now on will be stock unless inside a garage.

I actually had it in a garage for two years before this. I agree with you entirely, though. I was just stupid and thought that being at a tiny college in the middle of freakin nowhere would help, but it didn't.

And no, 94goldjungsr, fortuntly the Turbo's still sitting in my room, and I'll be putting it in a first gen Teg instead.

John, if you haven't already, post up any and all details on carolinahondas.com. You're right in the heart of ch.com country, and word gets around. I'm fairly certain someone knows who/what/when about your car, you just have to push the right buttons and find the right people.

If I was home I would but I'm at school is Amherst, Mass. right now I'm going to be keeping an EXTREMELY close eye on Ebay and other forums for the parts, though, as a lot of them I built, and I can spot right away.

i kinda have a idea about a "alarm".... i have it on my car and it works to be truthful. they can still steal it and strip it but they cant get too far down the road. i have a toggle switch hidden in my car where only i know(and my pops) where it is. its a fuel line cut off switch. yes they can take your car and yes they can strip it but they only get, what like not even 2 miles down the road. maybe im stupid but its wortha try so i went for it. sorry for the loss man. its happening a lot lately everywhere.

Damnnit I am so pissed off about this still. I hate theives. That car was so much fun and I was attched to it too. It makes me so angry that someone would even think about doing that. Its so rediculus. I am really sorry about all of this, I hope you can find some of the parts that they took and maybe track them down.

doesn't really matter what you do with your car these days in terms of security. when was the last time you questioned a tow truck or flatbed towing a car where the alarm was going off? the vast majority of us just think "heh....dumbass parked somewhere he shouldn't have, and now his battery will be dead along with the towing fine."

yes, you can do things to stop the majority of theives. but fact is, if they want it, they'll find a way to get it. sorry to hear about your car. hopefully insurance is being tolerable.

I had two kill switches, but honestly, if someone wants to steal your car badly enough they can do it. Its really not hard to get ANY car going even if you've only got a short bit of time, and if they're really serious about it they can just get a flatbed...

One thing that EVERYONE with an Integra should do, however, that I didn't do, is relocate the electric lock switch. They got into the car by ripping the window seal and using a coat-hanger or something similar to reach down to the switch and unlock the doors. I was planning to relocate the switch to the center console, but I never got around to it because I felt so safe in my super-out-of-the-way parking lot. But like I said, if they still really want the car, they can take it, it'll just be more work.
