made an expensive mistake last night. i think i misshifted not sure. 2 holes in pistons , 2 crushed spark plugs. no hole in block that i can see.wont turn over. Will i be better off rebuilding or lookin for another motor?

i think so too.

If it doesn't turn over, rod might be bent or broken. And if that's the case, then you're gonna want to tear down the motor and check the walls and water jackets. I've seen lots of B-series blocks with broken rods that toasted the crank, and scratched the **** out of the main caps. But that's just one case.... you won't know until you tear down the motor and then determine how much work needs to be done.

It would be safe to say YES to that one.
