Default Anyone in the Richmond area ever put on a camber kit?

Having a hell of a time getting one on my '91 EX. I have the kit, but there's cutting involved and there's a seam where I need to cut it at... I'm a little sketchy about doing that.

Any tips? Or should I just say "to hell with it" and take the damnable thing somewhere?

Thanks in advance.

I don't understand.. What kinda of kit do you have? There should'n be an cutting involved... If your kit requires it I'd get a different kit...

I've got to cut into the inner wheelwell too get the kit to work. I don't have the kit here with me to see who makes it, but it's the one with the four pieces that look a little like tie rod ends with a threaded shaft on one end and an off-center bolt hole on the other.

Unless I'm putting it on wrong... the car is on 205/45 16s with an Eibach Sportline kit (1.7") and I'm chewing up front tires.

Ahh, I think I know what you need to do...

You need to grind down the seam of the wheel well to add clearance for the control arms that now stick out more. No biggie, I had to do it to my other rex when I put some camber adjustable controls arms on it. You don't need to remove much to get the arms to clear. I'd install the kit, put back on the arms, then mark the seem where it needs ground down or cut.

Also, if you're chewing up the tire, you're prolly just too damned low! I don't think a camber kit will be enough to do it.

Damn, I really didn't think I was too low. It's only a 1.7" drop... I didn't think it was that low at all. Hell, I didn't think I even needed a camber kit, to be honest.

1.7 shouldn't be chewing up tires.
