Default Interior Clips (HELP ASAP)

Ok so I had to basically disasemble the entire rear interior of my 99 Civic Hatchback to uninstall my OEM Honda Side Moldings. The passangers side was a breeze, and all the clips that hold the interior to the metal came out like a charm. However the drivers side was being a little difficult, and as soon as I went to snap it back into place I noticed 2 of the clips were still stuck in the metal. How in the hell do I get these clips out, so I can put them back onto the interior panel, and snap it back into place?

Help would graciously be appriciated.

they dont come out easy,

you can use a screwdriver or chizel, or both,
to wedge under em, and pry them out, with lots of force, but it could break them.

or just leave them
the tabs that the clips connect to on the panels should slide right back into the clips that are stuck in the metal.

what you have to be careful about, is not lining the tabs up correctly, and trying to push them into the clip.. but actually smashing them to the side of the clip.

shouldnt be a problem though assuming you have most of the other clips still there.. maybe.. heh.

Thanks for the quick response man. But there has to be an easier way to pop those little bitches out. lol I've already broken the 2 wheel liner clips, and will need to replace those some how. Hopefully for 2 from Honda there only like $5 total.

And if you guys are wondering why I'm removing my OEM Side Molding, I have JDM Thin Side Molding sitting infront of me to replace it.

You can buy a tool from an auto parts store or from snap on, Sears might even have it. It it an interior panel removal tool, its like 9.99- 20.99 depending on where you get it. Snapon.com has it in their catalog section under part # A177A, I think i paid like 20 for it from our snap on guy. Or you can just break them all off and buy new ones from Honda, I think they are like 2 bucks a peice. Or if its the metal clips , just use a fine pair of needle nose pliers. Hope this has helped.
