What AEM CAI to use on 90 Accord w/97H22? 4th gen or 5th gen lude CAI
Ok I have a 97 h22 going in my 90 Accord. I still have my AEM CAI for the F22 that will work but I want the larger piping offered for the H22. Here's the thing there is a difference in the size of intake from the 4th gen lude CAI(2.75in.) and 5th gen lude CAI(3in). I'm sure the intake piping are bent alittle different cause of the body style. Any of you yall running the 97+ AEM CAI and do you think it will fit in my Accord. I'm not sure how much more .25 inch larger diameter intake is going to help me but it'll look bad ***. I've also thought about just cutting the 3inch CAI into a two peice and making it fit that way. Please help I need to order it ASAP. Thanks
Sorry I don't have an answer but I've got the same question.
I'm running the Accord AEM CAI which is 2.5 inches. The 4th gen Lude AEM CAI is 2.75, and the 5th gen is 3.0. I'd love to dyno each on my car. Bigger isn't always better with intakes however.

Bigger isn't always better but I don't think you will loose power because of it. The top end has to be better with a larger intake piping.
Our best option would probably be to have a shop mandrel bend a tube.
I don't know how much length is a factor.
I hope to dyno 2.5, 2.75, and 3.0 pipes outside my car, then just get the one that makes the most power custom mandrel bent.
