RA1 pressures
I forget, could somebody remind me what the optimal HOT pressure is for a Toyo RA1? I found this thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=307748, but I was looking to see if anybody had more input. Thanks.

Running too low of a pressure causes excess wear while the tire is coming up to racing temps.
Toyo recommends high 30's to low 40's

Ron Cortez with AIM tire center out here on the left coast recommends 40psi as the target with tuning up and down from that point.

That's right. 39-40 is where I like to see mine.

The Toyos like a slightly higher temp than the Kumhos Victoracer (the only two I've used). I use the same pressure front and rear for the most part (slightly higher front left if the track has a right turn bias).

From Toyo's website:
" Target Hot Inflation Pressure - High 30's to Low 40's (PSI)"
I too have come off te track saying "Man, these things feel like ***." Check the pressure and they're at 45psi...
I shoot for 38.

47 cold in the front. 26 hot in the rear. Thats if they are shaved. If they're not shaved (which I recommend because they will get nice and hot and sticky and last forever!!!) run them with 12 psi of nitrogen gas in the front and just fill the rears with halon from your fire sytem.
Oh, and run 3/4 inch of toe-in up front. Toyos like that.
I honestly have no idea. But that never stops various other people around here from posting "information" so I thought I'd hop on the bandwagon.
Scott, who is a pain in the ***.

Bah... DOOD that's way too complicated.
I just strap four keebler elves to my wheels, hand them pressure gauges, and tell 'em to yell the hot pressure into the cabin. Works great, and they work for peanuts, or is it cookies ...
PS: thanks the original poster ( I wanted this info too).
