I'm going to take my car in Saturday. Can I leave my testpipe on? I was wondering if they could report me

 

They probably won't do anything to you. Think about it this way. You are their customer, and if they want to keep your business then they should be kissing your ***, not reporting you. Just good business.

Last time I brought my car in the guy was complimenting the "well constructed" header and asking all sorts of questions.

 

I am sure most of the shops dont or have issues passing inspections themselves. Car shops are not the most environmental businesses out there. I've never had issues. What do they care as long as its not them getting caught with the tampering.
