Default need to help deciding..92 civic hatch h22a swap or k20a dc5...

sup guys...this is my first post...
i recently started new job that pays pretty good and i want to do something with my new found finance...i'm lookin to spend around 6k all together.

I alrady have a 5spd BASE rsx ( i bought it because i got it for 18k otd), and i was thinking of swapping a k20a into it...220 hp, 9k rev limiter..dammmmnnn... that be sweet, plus i've shopped around and i got an estimate for a full swap including labor for around 6k....

on the other hand, i was browsing through the forumns and the h22a hatch really caught my eye. I know it will take a lot of work to swap a h22a into a 92 hatch...but i am willing to put the time and effort.....

my question is..which one will be the better, as they say, bang for the buck...
i want to get everyone's opinion..thanks

~Patrick

not looking to go the forced induction route...i already have 56k miles on my rsx..i'm also leaning towards the N/A side of modifications...

I dont really have too much to back up my opinion but I would say go for the k20a swap into your RSX.

that H is HEAVY for the chasis...you HAVE to get ALL the suspension covered when doing that swap....seen the struts push straight up thru the damn wheel well in a turn

The H series motor is heavy and you do need to do some suspension mods to keep it feeling right...

We will have a complete kit for K series into Eg's in less than a month...

We will also have a special discount for honda-tech members only...

if you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me at will@hybrid-racing.com

thanks

The K series motor is the way of the future for Honda. Sure, you can put an super heavy H22 in a hatch and burn K20A's, but put the same mods on both, and the K20A hatch will pull. Its lighter, responds SO much better to mods, and has a 6th gear...whats not to like?
I had a K20A2 in my 2001 Civic for about 4 weeks before some drunk chick rear ended me and totalled my car. I am keeping that motor if it kills me. Im gonna put it into a DC2 Integra. I loved that motor!

putting a h22 in an eg would be a better bang for your buck than a K20A in ur RSX...
