I have a buddy with a civic running a t3 turbo and deltagate and his turbo sounds amazing when he drives by, (also quite exhaust)

BUT my car sounds like *******, i have a t3/t4 with tial and no matter what you can hear the spring like bouncing, even just driving normal, i can never hear my turbo spool (is this because my exhaust is to loud?) just wondering if this is just me or do a lot of turbo cars not make the "spooling" sound

 

you wont hear it spool till like 10 psi

low boost, all u hear is wastegate

 

he is running like 6 or 7 lbs.

 

u have a bigger turbo

 

run open dp u hear the turbo spool real loud then

 

Yeah, when i run Open O2 housing (no downpipe) it sounds great, but when i put a downpipe on and run open downpipe I can't hear it at all.

 

get an internal gate then you'll hear it lol

 

I can hear mine from 2k up, stock exhaust. Sounds awesome

What do you have for the intake, a tube w/ filter on the end?

 

idunno dood, i have no prob hearing mine spool even at low boost

not true.. i hear my spool very easy with my 15g just gas it a lil and i can hear that beautiful spool even when i had t3/t4 turbo with my ls it spooled fine.. both setup with 5-7 psi..

 

umm, who gives a ****? quieter the better for street apps

Agreed.........people are stupid they think my car is a V8 until they hear me take off, then sometimes they car still confused

Definitely true, as long as it is spooling who gives a **** if you hear it.

 

I can hear my turbo spool up with my exhaust.

if you want to hear the turbo, take a charge pipe off, then you can hear it plenty

 

I have an exhaust leak and I can still hear my turbo. It's not too loud, but it sure does turn heads!

 

take the filter off the turbo, youll hear it for sure

i dont think so. when my charge pipe went lose the other day it ran like **** and didnt spool at all till i put the pipe back on

 

yeah andrew, you can't hear your car but you can kick the **** out of me. it's true though, the sound is amazing. i don't know why you wouldn't want to hear it. if you've got it, show it.

 

mine was very quiet when it was new....All I could here was the exhaust and rushing air...now it sounds like a jet plane taking off, ad I am running closed WG, cat, and filter....I think it may just need to be broken in.

my TDO4H sounds like an f-18 , fear me!!!!!!!!!!!!
