lug nuts with stock rims??
im looking to get some lug nuts...thinking about the kyokogen lug nuts...iono if i should get open or closed to use with my stock blades, five stars, and my si rims...haha...can u guys give me an idea on which one would work best for that.... thanks a lot guys...
Really, open or closed would work, I wouldn't get the extended ones, as they look pretty weird with factory wheels. Personally, I would stay away from Kyougen, as a few of my friends have had major problems with those, and I've even read quite a few horror stories from HT users that went with them.
skunk2 forged lugs will work with your stock rims too. they are a little more expensive compared to something like gorilla lugs and they also extend out more than stock lugs.

I don't know, I've had my Skunk's for about 3 years, never had any problems with them. Changed my wheels a bunch of times.

it could be the combo of the skunk studs and lugs, i forgot do you have extended studs matt? i searched the skunk lugs, nothing but mad complaints.
it comes down to how you maintain the lugnuts and threads on the studs. I know rodrez is the king of clean, so no problems with his set.

king of clean? haha
I'm just using regular stock studs, but I try to be careful with the lugs. There's been a few times when I needed tires on temporary wheels, and went to Tire Dudes down South, they tighten them WAY too much, but no problems.

You shouldn't be using tapered lug nuts with OEM wheels. See this thread for reasons why, I'm not retyping the whole thing.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Only use factory lugs with factory wheels. I tried using cone style lugs on my HX wheels and the lugs kept loosening up. Factory wheels are ball/radius seat while all these aftermarket lugs are cone seat. That is like placing a round peg in a square hole.
