15" or 16" better for racing ?
irregardless of how they might look. which set up would be better for racing (auto-x & road racing) ...
15" wheels with 205/50/15
or same wheels but
16" with 205/45/16 ? (same width on both wheels)
some people tell me that it is better (especially if i get really light wheels like the CE28n's ) to get the 16" wheels over the 15" ... please post any knoweldge that is available . thank you very much. my mind is open to your advice

15x7 would be a better wheel for Autox / Road Racing , not only does it have less rotational mass, but there is also many more tire choices in that size.
how about the issue with 15" traction..most of the itr buddies i know say +1" over stock is the way to go - i prefer 15" (on itr's) but then again, i don't have an itr...

Traction ?
That would really depend on tires. A properly suited tire on a Lightweight 15inch rim will have no real problems with traction.
Same goes with a 16 inch wheel. But its only a bit harder to lose traction with a 16inch wheel, because it accelerates less efficiently, and doesn't put as much power to the ground.
On the street it wont much difference , but on a road course, you'd want to run as small as wheels as possible that fit over the brakes.
Leaves more options when it comes to tires, and more forgiving when pushing the limits of the tire.
