Default Auto trans on a G7 (2001) Civic EX

GF's car doing downhill seem to "jerk" when she applied the brakes. I read that Honda auto trans got something call "logic shift" where it downshifts if you are braking on a hill, and hold the lower gear going up a hill.

Note: I have not experience it, so I'm only going by what she said.

Is this the logic shift at work? or is something wrong with the brakes?

TIA

Yeah, that's a Honda auto tranny for ya. My mom's 2000 Accord V6 does the same damn thing.
