Default Building a B18A all motor

We just swapped a B18A into a friends 89 CRX and it runs pretty good. He wants to add a lot more horsepower than it currently has and keep it all motor. The engine is from a '91 LS and has all new gaskets, rings, the block was prepped, the head was slightly decked and has a 3-angle valve job so its basically a fresh stock engine. He was asking me about cams, retainers, an intake manifold, headers, etc... Also what is the highest compression you would want to run and still be safe on 93 octane? Can someone enlighten me Im new to the world of imports.
