i was looking at my friends key to his 2001 gsr and all though the handle part (part you hold in your fingers) looks different than the civic keys, the actual key part looks the saem and it even fits into my car door and ignition just doesnt start it duh lol. my keys look kinda old and nasty and i was wanting a newer styl key. i looked on ebay and found blank 2001 NSK keys and they listed as fitting 90-2001 integras but only can crank 90-99 ingegras (immobilizer in 00-01 models)

heres a pic of it. but this isnt the only one i am looking at. if possible i was wondering if i could get a blank acura key form the newer integras lik 98-2001 would it work in my 92-95 civic?

 

also would acura sell me a blank key? or would they tell me to go to hell

 

i kinda like th v-dub keys where you push a button and it flips out like a switch blade

I *think* that you can get an Acura key, but why?? I would'nt even want an NSX key for my Civic. Just call up Honda and ask!

actually i found those on ebay too 39 bux buy it now. the buttons on it are non functioning but the key flips out like the mercedes and V dubs



and to the guys who says this is a dumb post i really dont think so i think it could be a informative post. as i always say. "DON'T HATE"

and to Ricey Martin yo bro i just listed the NSX key for an example. i would much rather have the blank key from the 2000-2001 integras. they are much better i think and look much sleeker

 

I don't think you can use the VDub key, but the Honda/Acura keys should be interchangeable. Those flip out keys are cool as ****, but are big and heavy in a pocket!! I borrowed a friends Jetta for a couple days and got tired of that big *** key!

My friend paid like $50 for a type r key with the chip in it for his DA....he wanted it for the bling bling factor......i wouldnt spend 50 on a key but u can buy any key from the deal and have it cut

becuase i am plannign on doing the same engine swap for the vtec d15 jdm
and i was wondering where he got his vtec solenoids (or if u need them)

I remember those butterfly keys, never knew anybody who had one, but with our civics the chip in the keys is not a problem. None of us have anything to worry about * unless you have a K swap*

There are 4 blanks that are used for Honda/Acura. Those are different from other imports.
