h22 in 92 prelude?
92 jdm h22 in 92 prelude..used stock h23 harness...car runs perfect with stock p14 computer....hook up jdm p13 and all the car does is bog down when revving...idles like ****...also hooked up chipped p28 computer...car runs the same as when using p13....................HELP!

what wires did you add to make the p13 work with the h23a harness?

The reason is that the H22 P13 ECU is a DOHC VTEC ECU and is made for that motor. The H23 is for a nonVTEC DOHC motor. Since you haven't added any of the additional wiring, using the H22 ECU causes CEL's and runs off different fuel and timing maps which causes the motor to not run properly.
You need to add wiring to the H23 harness so that all of the necessary H22 sensors are functioning properly. Without this you are never going to have a properly running setup, horrible performance and not mention possible engine damage can occur.

that sounds like something entirely different, but without the proper wiring being done the vtec solenoid isn't working, you're staying on the low cam and probably running super rich because i assume the fuel is still being added at the 5000ish rpm crossover point....more fuel means less power, so it's all messed up.....

H22 in a Prelude Si is like doing a GS-R swap into an LS.
Wire up Knock sensor to the D3 pinout and VTEC to:
VTEC solenoid to A4 pinout
VTEC pressure switch to D6 pinout
VTEC presure ground to thermostat housing.
Everything else is there..

i'd like to agree with you on this one but i had an airhead mechanic wire it wrong; my heater, a/c, fans, power mirrors and locks do not function...so there must be more of a problem then just those 3 wires

that could be a possible blown fuse or open wire touching metal,
my inside lights didnt work, or my door dinger. it was cause the fuse shorted, when it touched the door metal of the panel..
check all your fuses

knock sensor is not gonna make the car run all wacky..as well as Vtec not being wired...my cousin ran his 90 integra with jdm b16 swap for weeks witout those not wired...so its gotta be some other sensors other than those...

i was lookin at my computer the other day and i think this may present a problem but i'm not sure:
i have 2 wires that are connected to the harness that shouldn't be there.(according to my ecu pinout diagram)
these are: A22 - which is yellow/green
A8 - which is green/black
there are the same color wires also in the spot above these pins (A21 and A7 respectively)
are these wires not supposed to be here or is my ecu pinout diagram misleading me about something?

did you add the vtec wiring like mentioned? why you messing with the o2 when you ahvent added vtec wiring?

b/c i've been talking to other knowledgable h22 people and that's what they told me to do...i've even tried wiring up the vtec...none of this works...i'm thinking that maybe i should pull the damn motor off and the harness and do it myself or at least pull the harness.
i do have some sensor coated in oil...would that preven them from working correctly? one of them is the knock sensor and one is a sensor down and to the right of the dizzy...mind you, i'm getting no check engine lights...only an ABS light
Sounds like there is vacuum issues, etc or something with it.
I would recommend you look for the obvious, check fuel pressure, look at spark plugs, do a compression test, and en sure you have all the right connectors on the engine.

i'll check the vacuum lines...as for the spark plugs, they are pretty bad b/c of the engine running so damn rich..they are black...but not bad enough to cause the engine to run THAT rich. what would fuel pressure have to do with it when it's fine with one computer and not the other?
i checked the vacuum lines and one wasn't connected correctly so i fixed it and it runs different but still extremely rich...now, when i start it up, it doesn't stall when i touch the gas...but it still sputters a lot and will stall within a few seconds of starting it up...keep the ideas coming!
