all a sudden on the way home my car started bogging everywhere and even died a few times. but it didnt die all the way, it still idled ok but when i tryed to rev it it just bogged really bad and wouldnt rev. i throw a code 4 which is crank angle sensor/top dead center sensor. i had to wire in that sensor for my mpfi swap and i checked all my wiring and it seems good. it will start right up but idles real bad (backfiring sounds and bogging) and when i rev it it boggs and stutters real bad (especially once you get to half throttle or higher). what could the problem be? can the sensor alone inside the distributor go bad? if so, can i replace just that sensor and if so how do i do it? btw i have a 91 civic dx with chipped pr4 ecu (running mugen zc prog) and d16y8 swap. i am using the a6 distributor and injectors and tranny.

It sounds like you need a distibutor to me or check to see if your spark plug wires are correct.

 

starting top left and going counter clock wise it goes 3124 right?
