91 Civic HB, installing an H22 will AC fit
I am getting ready to do a swap in my 91 Civic HB.... I want to put a H22 in it but also want to keep AC. Will there be room or is there a bracket that will allow this?? I will have a Jimfab crossmember installed during this swap.

Let everyone keep talking ****,thats all this site is good for,Yes I've seen h22a in 88-91 Crx/Civics before so it can be done. The a/c part won't fit.The alternator on the h22a sits where you a/c brackets would. Its already hard enough to fit the motor in but make sure you take your time on lining the motor up.

I think when everyone thinks h22 in a 4th gen. safety issues are the first thing that comes to mind. There are plenty of horror stories of the h22 shifting(falling out) of 4th gen. engine bays. IT CAN BE DONE, that is for sure, but safety has always been the sacrafice in this swap. The the front to rear weight ratio will be changed significantly. Under extreme driving or track racing the engine is also known to shift violently inside the weak 4th gen engine compartment. It is not a question if it can be done at all, it's safety.
h22 in daily driven/only car 4th gen.
h22 in trailer queen drag only 4th gen.

i wish so much luck on this project, personally id rather stick with a b series engine put a stroker kit in it rather than trying to fit an h22 in it, i have enough trouble getting to **** in my engine bay let alone trying to work around an h22 in an ef. once again good luck and take your time, think it out over and over again.
