I am currently putting together my kit and need to select a BOV for my application.
I will be running somewhere between 7-10lbs of boost and using a Garrett T3/T4 .63/.6 60 trim turbo.

I have done some research and these are the candidates:

HKS SSQV - some say yes/ some say no
Blitz DD- ??
Greddy Type S/R- ??
Tial - Everybody who has one has never complained. (that I have read about)
1G DSM - Cheap solution if $$ become a problem.

What do all of you use and comment would be appreciated.

 

OK can anybody lend me some advice for a custom setup like a posted above?

 

its really up to u.. all the bov's do the same thing.. each bov has their own sound. and do the same job. ive tried the blitz dd, greddy type S, and hks.. i like them all. im gonna try out the turbo xs rfl bov soon i just got it in hope that helps

 

yeah, everything from a $50 ebay no-name BOV to a 1st gen dsm to a hks ssqv bov do exactly the same thing / serve the same function. I know the DSM begins to leak at high boost, and that's where the power of expensive valves like the hks become apparent. I don't know if my $50 dollar ebay valve will leak at high boost, but so far so good at 12lbs. Go with whatever you want, and if you have money to burn, go name brand. You can't really go wrong with a BOV, they either work, or they dont. Me personally, I like cheap functionality. Search ebay, you'll see the one I mean. I think mine was sold as "tkk works" or some ****. Works fine, sounds nice and loud woosh. I took the "trumpet" off b/c it whistled, and was annoying. It sounded like someone snoring every time i hit the gas... turbo, the whistle, turbo, then whistle.... it was awful.

 

why doyou need itr onwers opinions ? a bov is a bov really.
irun the SSQV, il like the sound.

 

I use the 1st Gen Eclipse and I love it. $20. I like quiet BOV's though.
