B18B motor got stolen last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First off hey guys, nice to be back....... school got pretty crazy for awhile. Anyway, I was at the illegals last night, spanking nearly everyone. I could tell I was getting the wrong kind of attention from a few of the homies there. The cops showed up as usual and we all split. When I wake up this morning to go to school I notice the garage door is open and my hood is propped open. I can't quite explain how I felt............I knew I was about to discover something REALLY BAD, felt kinda like throwing up and being punched in the face all at the same time. Sure enough, some ************* took my motor!!!WTF!!!!!!! The lesson to be learned don't go blabbin your mouth to everybody about what mods you've done, cause there is always a ******** ready to steal it
What a shitty world

Damn man, sorry about that man, i feel ya, i hate ppl stealin ****....They need to get a ****** job and buy that **** themselves!!!!!!! you don't have an alarm??

Dam...just like that? I'd think you would've heard something if they were pulling the motor from your *garage* (unless your garage is seperate from your home). I hope everything turns out okay.
So what's next? B18C-R motor?

We just moved to Orange County from Manhatten Beach about 1 month ago. Our house is on over 20 acres and the garage is pretty far from the main house. We have dogs but their getting old so they can't hear worth shat. I haven't told my parents cause they *HATE* the whole import scene. The guys at my church felt so bad for me they got me a 99 B18B, if I go to my insurance my Dad will surely find out and condem me to a 1986 Bronco. If you guys can keep your eyes peeled for a good price on the following I will love you forever
1)Eagle rods
2)SRP or JE 12:5:1 compression Pistons
3) stainless valves
4) Backup 97 + LS head ( for porting)
This new motor is going to be *SICK*
I always say the only 2 ways I could ever go to jail would be if someone fucked with my:
Car
family
So i guess it's best I didn't see it happen. My parents oddly enough are going to be installing a total security system at the house in a couple weeks and I figure I will beef up the locks in the garage. My neighborhood is really really nice, but it doesn't matter if someone follows you home

WTF... what the hell is wrong with people man... Man... one of us need to device a cheap security system that runs off it's down power will go off if any wires are cut and will go off if anything on the car is opened (hood, door, trunk, etc) and have a motion switch so that if sombody jacks the car up to get the wheels off it will also go off. IT then need's to have a cell link and call the poilice, fbi, cia, Secret Service, President and then me and let me know. This **** is getting rediculis and need'd to be put to a stop. I cant beleive these ************* stole the engine while the dam shitz was in your garage! Thats BS!
OMG It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to post!!!!!!
I found out later, I had to log in.

Anyways, sorry to hear your engine was stolen.
You a religious man? I don't know what kind of church you go to, but daaamn...I've been going to the wrong churches....
Just a fun fact: In Africa (forgot the specific region), where car theft happens to every 8 out of 10 cars, there are some crazy anti-theft systems...I saw a few in the newspapers.... flamethrowers beneath the driver side doors. If someone tries to jack your car, he gets his legs fried.
. Electric shocks connected to door handles. Again, if people try something, they get electrocuted.

Sorry, someone has to play devil's advocate but if they really wanted your motor they would've taken your entire car. Its takes at least a few hours plus a good amount of tools and lighting to pull a motor, I'm sorry but your story is very unbelievable.
damn man i though Newport was a nice place....geez thats some fucked up **** man...i sure hope they didn't use your tools to take your own motor out...damn bastards that can't pay for their own **** they have to jack other peoples stuff..wack man ok sorry had to vent since i've had to deal with the same ****
Stolen from your garage?!?!?! Damn....now thats professional! But seriously that sucks dude...hpe ya find them...sounds like you need some rat traps in your garage!
not to insult you by any means but this sounds a little hard to believe. it takes quite a bit of time to pull a motor not to mention have a lift and the proper tools. one thing theives dont like is stealing something that takes them long to get. anything is possible though and if it is true may the bastards armpits be infested by the fleas of a 1000 camels!
Damn Halo that sux !!! My sincerest condolences !! As far as the africa stories..... I've seen it too.... unfortunately, that's illegal in the US....
2-3 amateur mechanics can pull an engine in under 30 mins.... it may not be neat, but definitely within the realm of possiblity

ditto. takes around 2 hours to get a motor out. and you left a hoist, assembled, in your garage in front of your car? if not, that'lltake em another 20 mins to get a lift outa a car, put it together, etc... unless they drove INTO your property with a big van or summin... LOL dont your church friends have some high comp pistons laying around?!?
dont get your request tho.. someone is giving you a motor, you cant tell your parents, but your gonna do a full rebuild without them knowing? how so fast??
well, if its true, i know it sucks..
good luck either way.

Actually there is a way to have an alarm go off on down power. I have made one and added it to my viper. Basically created a device that reads constant power from the battery to the alarm. Have a CAP in the car to power the alarm when down. When power from the battery to the alarm is cut, then the circuit sees the drain and draws power from the CAP. In the same sequence the CAP turns on an LED in the car which I have connected to the door switch, which triggers the alarm since the Viper now thinks the door is open. The alarm only sounds for 4 minutes before the cap runs dry, but I have a pager that goes off when the alarm does.
Also, when you get an alarm have them put a switch on your hood.
Friend of mine went one step further and put another horn in the car with a seperate alarm. So if they cut the horn, they still have one more, and if they cut that one, there is a whole other alarm to worry about.
anyway.. just my thoughts... I dont know much about cars, but I do know about electronics and computers...

If they did do this, then that is a total smack in the face...steal your motor, in your house with probably your tools. DAMN!
Sorry guys but you're a little off with your facts. Seasoned pro's can have a B series motor/tranny out within 45 minutes, and loaded in a van driving away in another 3-5 minutes. These guys came and went quietly!
1.Loosen all motor mounts/tranny mount = 15 minutes
2. Disconnect drive axles= 15 minutes
3. Unplug all harness plugs= 10 minutes
4. 3-4 guys can lift the shell over the motor/tranny and it will be on the floor, eaisier for them to lift and load on to a truck or van. 10 minutes.
