Pic Request: CRX Sohc Turbos(Engine bay shots)
You ask, and you shall receive...
...
Blown carbon headgasket = small carbon bits in the oil = clogged inlet to the pump = pressure at idle but all of a sudden when driving you have 0 pressure and it throws a rod...
New motor is getting built this winter.

Whats your setup?
Whats your setup?
Setup is:
d16z6 with crower 4340 cromoly rods (none of that econo crap)
9.0:1 JE pistons
Total seal rings (I think they might be leaking a bit)
Sfp log manifold
t3 .63 ex .48/ar compressor side (from a t bird)
tyrus 30x6x2.25 Intercooler
My own piping
Fmu,missing link and walbrow 255hp
Waiting on my chip burner and 550's and wideband to come in so I can use my uberdata.

hmm,,well that set-up is kinda dated and im always upgrading or changing something..In the pic is a stock D16Z with a Drag Gen 2 turbo kit with T3/04b turbo,550cc injectors, zdyne gold ecu,MSD 6al and a couple of other things I forgot
BTW...those crane 11mm wires are pieces of ****,I didnt forget that....

Anymore? Anyone run turbo using the HF manifold? Which is better? Did you guys have to use a missing link? Any videos?
My compression is 8.5:1, the engine is built with srp pistons and eagle rods... the head had a valve job and zex 59300 cam and springs, nothing that was major.....
Boost isn't really the issue its horsepower. People have made 300+ on stock block. It's all to what extreme you want to go to.

i have gone 302hp sae corrected, i have never heard of anyone else going that highw ith a stock block and head... oh yea, if you notice i was also runing the a6 intake manifold/tb instead of the z6 so im thinking that was a small restriction....
