can anyone show me some good pictures of civic straight axles for the rear?i have seen the kens piece.any others out there?im thinking about doing this over the winter.

do a search for rear straight axel. i asked the same question about a month or two ago. but anyways http://www.dtrfab.com makes them good stuff and AN-R make one and ken's custom chassis.

there is a bad *** solid axle on his crx....it not straight, the axle dips down in the middle so you dont have to cut the floor out.

are these straight rear axles legal and even so are they safe for street use and do the offer better handling for corners?

 

straight axles are allowed in the quick class/ hot rod categories. As far as street legal I'm not too sure. I know that they will not out perform an old fashioned independent for cornering capabilities, and I would seriously suggest against going daily with one. My 2 pennies.-pdang

Look at it this way, at least you don't need a sway bar!

 

yes i do run hotrod.yes they are legal in hotrod,quick and pro4
we are going to be taking the car to a whole new level next season and was looking for a design for a rear axle that i like.im going to have our chassis guy build me one,but was looking for ideas.
