Default engine swap for CRX 90

I just bought a 1990 CRX SI, I'd like to keep my tranny. What would be the best engine to put in there that workes good with turbo and nitrous

FIRST, do a search. then figure how much hp you want, last figure how much money you want to spend. the last one will tell you which motor to go with

i would either go with the b16 or b18 full built for turbo or nos. me and a couple of guys around my area have done this and we are reaping the benifits and kicking azz.

Which one the b16a1 or the B18? Remember I want to keep my tranny but if I have no choice in it, I'll change it. I just don't want to cut anything to fit in. What do you think about the h22a the prellude motor?

h22 motor wont fit your tranny...
your tranny will only fit D-series motors...
so you cant put in a b16 or a b18 because they're b-series nor a h22 because its an h-series..get it
your best bet is to do a mini-me swap or to get a complete d16z6 or d16y8 or d15b etc.

Mini-me or D15 that is going to make his 400HP? You might want to re-evaluate your goals. Obviously money does make a difference so decide how much you want to spend and a more realistic HP goal.

Nope. I've seen a handfull of h22 swaps, they all had cuts and welded mounts. It can be made to blend in. If money really isn't an issue get the H22 with internals for boosting and a supercharger. Then see what you need from there to make 400HP.

I say you read on this website for a while and learn more about Hondas before you make any decisions. And if money isnt a problem than I dont see why you have a Honda, much less want to make it have 400 hp.
