Default POS JIC ...hole on my bpipe.

Well yesterday night on my way home... my car started to sound like a dam rotary car out of nowhere...so today i went under to investagate ..and this is what i found..
hey look its off

diaaaablo... look at that hole...

So my question is ... what to do ..oh what to do? bring it to minake... have the hanger welding back on...or say f that hanger and have them weld the hole shut since it seems to be holding good with one hanger now... or go cheap style and patch..

yeah i would go to a muffler shop and just get a new hanger welded on that is the cheapest solution i can thing of or you can go buy some JB weld and go that route i would get it welded though.

you can either do it the getto way and wrap muffler tape (found at pep boys) or take it to a shop and have it welded for like 10 bucks. no biggie

why woud you weld it shut? is the exhaust hanging lower or anything, if it is you don't want to put any stress on any of teh bolts and you don't want it scrached all up and dented and what not.

get it welded shut or just get them to put another hanger there, or even weld the original back on and put more weld on it
its not like its gonna be expensive

if its on a straight piece of the exhaust, go to autozone and buy some exhuast bandage for $5. It'll work fine.

I just found some "Tiger patch" looks like it would hold up pretty good.. might get it a try.

Does the exhaust ever srape when you're coming out of driveways? I've seen people's break off from scraping and pushing against the hangers. I honestly stand by JIC's products 100%, they're products are top notch from what I've seen. Their welds look much cleaner and more refined than the welds of other exhausts.

ok update!.... took off exhaust... the other side is cracking... so i dunno what to do..might have to cut that section off ...cause the other hanger is cracking and has a little hole too... so eventually it will rip off.. maybe get both side welded closed and get a clamp to hold that section.

pics will be up later

whatever you do, don't go to mieneke. go to a local place cause any of the bigger places charge you for every little thing.

Why wouldn't you call JIC or where ever you got the exhaust from? Thats pretty shitty if your exhaust is falling apart, especially some top dollar exhaust.

id weld a hanger back on (the original or a new one )

even though it may look like its holding up fine without it ...

id assume its putting more stress on the other hangers

after a hanger breaking after a few months i wouldnt want take the chance of breaking another one

Have the hanger welded back on. Its there for a purpose, I'm sure they wouldn't have put it on if it didn't do anything.
