Which axels to use with a JDM SiR change over in my EF9
I just swaped a b16 in to my hatch and I have been told to use 91 integra ls axles is this correct? If not what axels should I use?
Funny you mentioned it, I posted 'bout 2 minutes ago but it got eaten in a Dialup crash...
Are you talking about a full JDM changeover, or is this just a B16A swap into an EF?
If you check out Hasport's page... http://www.hasport.com/B16axles.htm ... it gives a full information listing, including how to assemble your own JDM-style axles if you get the inner joints intact (though I should mention that in this case the inner bearing race and bearings are different styles between the two axles, at least in my case). I hope that's what you're looking for.

before this is over, I am getting GSR 90-94 axles with my swap, they come with it. Is it possible to use them in the swap only making slight cashnges to the axle to work in a 90 hatchback. thanks alot
I know that my EF axels will not work, I have been told to use a set of Integra LS axels from a 91. Does this sound right to anyone?
ok here it is, If you look on the block stamp and right under where it b16a it will have a number, if the number begins with a 1, it is a one million series and should have the right intermediate shaft, sooooo you can use axles out of a 90-93 non-abs LS integra, if the number begins with a 5, it is a 5 million series that has an intermediate shafts that is too short and would require you to do mix-and-match on the axles, or you could get the 90-93 ls non-abs intermediate shaft and then get the 90-93 axles. This is what I have learned to work, and have done it myself. If there is another way, let me know, cause i try to collect all the info i can to help other out. I had a hard enough time without having to quess on parts, good luck man

EVO, did you read the link on axles I sent you? Basically, the breakdown is that the axles you get are dependent on the intermediate shaft, which in turn is dependent on the transmission you have... the blockstamp is permanent to the engine, so if someone's changed the transmission or intermediate shaft you may end up with the wrong axles. I'm telling ya, just read the hasport link

well in that case then you will have no idea and the only way to find out is get the 90-93 axles and see if when you install it if the axles sticks out to far or is too far inside the wheels wells. I think shadows idea, go to the hasport site, is a very good idea, has exact lenghts and all. All my info is based on the stuff coming stock, I got an S1 tranny with the right shaft alreadt in it, lucky i guess.
Hence the reason I got an intermediate shaft from a '99 Si coming, then you can use any '94+ GS-R, Type R or new Si axles according to the HASport guys!
