No, those are the "Ultimates", IB Wiseco's are "Super Duper"

iono i think any motor can make power with a 13.5:1 compression, heh anyone know about the ib spec wiseco, not the super dupers? , super dupers have to high of a compression to daily drive around in cali

Others are in the 230-240'ish range and it seems the IB pistoned motors are hitting in the 250-260+ range.

If the engines are similar (everything the same except for the pistons) how can the gains be that much higher? I am not down on IB at all, I am actually impressed with their stuff, but something doesn't make sense to me here... If the stroke, bore, compression, bearing clearances, ring gaps, fuel tuning...etc are all identicle, how can their be a difference in power by just changing a JE piston to a IB piston? Is there more to the comparison? Are the engines really that identicle or is there some "magic" or "voodoo" involved? I would like a reasonable explanation to these questions. I think "heresay" is one thing... I could tell you my "magic" pistons make even more power than say the next, but I had better be able to back up the claim. If there were differences in the engine set-ups then the comparison and gains of 10-20 WHP can't be valid, based on "just the pistons alone".

what he said. i'm interested in possibly the 11.8:1 or 12.8:1's on an occassionally street driven car on 92+ pump gas.

you can't go wrong. It has been proven on the track and dyno!
