Might buy D16Z6, need suggestions
I might buy a 1993 D16Z6. The guy says it has 100,000km on it and that it sat for 3 years. He said he would change the pistons rings and head gasket for me. He is selling the engine. ECU and dizzy for $750 CDN. What you guys think? Is it worth it? I'm having second thoughts because the engine has sat for 3 years.
I would be skeptical if the guy offered to fix stuff that isnt even supposudly wrong with it? Wouldnt you? IF it isnt broke then there is no need to fix it...DO a compression test and low ball the hell out of him.......everyone does it to me
Even tho I got mine from a friend I got :
93 D16Z6 100k(no VTEC on valve cover)
Tranny
ECU
Axles
All Mounts
Chikara Header
MSD wires & stuff
linkage w/neuspeed bushings
all for 300 US

Yah, this one sounds shady. You can probably get a Z6 thats not tampered with or opened up by anyone for alot less. Have you tried any tuner shops in your area? Sometimes I find z6 motors sitting next to shops' bay doors at night...waiting for the metal man to come pick 'em up for recycling... (thats if you have any shops around where you live.)

Sorry dude...I have none of my motors for sale. I'll let you know though. SPL always has some parts laying around.
