Help me decide on my eg swap....
I have narrowed my choices down to 3, b18b, b18a or f22b1. I know everyone is going to say get the b18b but they are virtually non existing in my area. The one's that are availible are $1750+ for a full swap. However there are countless b18a's around as well as f22b's. I just want to have a nice daily driver that i'll probably spray somewhere down the line and that I can get replacement parts for cheap. What are your opinions?
Instead of the h22 i'd just get the b18b and some extra goodies. The big concern I have is the lack of stock parts availible for b18b locally.
The biggest difference is the tranny. the 90-93's are cable and the 94-00's are hydro. The conversion is $225 from hasport to use the cable tranny in a hydro car. There's only a 2hp difference between the 92-93's and the newer b18b's

So I take you are going to build the hatch instead of getting rid of it now? That is good to here, F22 would be different, but I would go with the B18B. I wouldn't want another cable tranny after having one in my last hatch back. Or jsut get the H22, a friend just droped one in his VX and it would be cool to have another one rolling around the Lou.
You know there are hardly any b18b's around though and there's not a hydro ls tranny to be had almost anywhere in St. Louis I don't want to do an h22(wayy too much $$$)
Don't get a LS tranny, get a GSR or a B16, better gearing that way. An F22 hatch would be cool, I know their is NO one around here with that swap.
I know what you mean about the trannies, when I shot the center pin on mine I had to get one from Steve at H-Motors, wish I would of got another B16 tranny my Y80 sucks.
