Default Airbag De-activation integra 95

How can we de-activate the air bags while on track and then re-activate while driving the car home.

since honda-challenge rules recomend to do this.

Or any other ideas you have on the subject....

thanks

Default Re: Airbag De-activation integra 95 (Outsane)

On my 96 Integra (I think its the same as 95):
While you can disable the entire airbag system with a fuse, this is how I do mine.

Driver side: Undo the plastic cover under the steering wheel and unplug the yellow connectors. I keep the cover off so I can plug and unplug as I please.

Passenger side: Take the glove compartment off, cut the zip tie that holds the connector to the dash. What I do is drill a hole in the glove compartment and zip tie the connector to the glove compartment. This way the connector is pulled towards you when you open the glove compartment. Now you can connect and disconnect as you please.

Remember to disconnect battery before you connect and reconnect to avoid accidentaly airbad deployment, especially when your head is by the bags doing the plugg'n and unplugging.
