I'm getting confused on this.....where is this two prong coolant sensor located, and where and why are you trying to swap it?
Are you talking about the ECT sensor? The one located on the side of the head?

the coolant sensor has moved to the thermo housing on that Y8 block of yours. Just extend the wires from the back of the block (where they are right now, because i know u transfered over the old engine harness to the Y8) and plug them in on the sensor on the thermostat housing. Then your fan should turn on.
Like he said above.
You need to get the plug that fits the conector on your Y8 thermostat housing, and hook up your old 2 radiator fan wires to the plug you get (at a junkyard),
and all will be good.

Cut the connectors off of your old radiator fan switch wires (the back of the engine) and extend those 2 wires and attach them to the new plug you get from the junkyard. (That fits onto the Y8 thermostat housings thermosensor)
