Default serious motor/tranny question here.

ok. here is the deal. i just not too recently ago finished my y7/z6 in my 94 ex and it has been running fine. leaks a little oil and my dad was telling me that after you put a new head gasket on, u usually run it for a little while and then re-torque the head. it doesnt say to do this in my chilton's book, but we think that that might be the problem. also, when i changed did the swap, we put a new clutch and throw-out bearing in. the other day when it got down to the 40-50's, it started kind of grinding when it is in gear or the clutch is in. i changed the transmission oil in it today and it doesnt do it that much. almost at all. when it is first gear and u punch the clutch back in, and then let it out at a low rpm, it makes a little grinding noise and if u take the clutch off and take it out of gear it doesnt do it at all. does anyone have any idea what this might be. oh, btw, it shifts tons smoother since i changed the tranny oil.

Ah, sounds like another input shaft bearing. My transmission started by clanking at low speed/rpm, then after a few days later a buzz at high rpm became apparent, and then a few days after that it started chattering at idle when the clutch was out...it never chattered with the clutch depressed. So, I found out what was wrong, ripped my tranny apart, replaced the bearing, and have been just peachy since.
