Brembo rotors not available for EF Civic SI's?????
I was told that Brembo does not sell rotors for my 91 Civic Si Hatch. Is this true? Thier website doesn't show them either. What are you hatch's upgarding to?
A lot of people in Canada use KVR x-drilled or slotted rotors. They sell for $57 US each and $12 more for cadnium plating. I use them on my cars. PM me if you have any more questions.

so are you saying that Brembo rotors are available for EF hatch's?
what's the difference between EF CRX and EF hatch brakes?

the brakes are the same
xcept i beleive the EX civic model has 1" bigger rotors.....
but all i know of diff are that the 90-91 CRX Si came with rear disc..... other than that the crx and hb shares the same suspension setup...
both of my friends with 89 and 90 HB have brembo rotors....

oh okay, so in other words, KVR's are Brembo's and Brembo's are KVR's. its all of a matter of packaging than. shiet. okay if that's the case, than i rather get KVR's since they are much cheaper down here, and i'll get the cadium coated. thanks for the info. brembo's are so expensive.
I don't know how well it applies to your EF, but I recently bought '90-91 CRX brembo rotors and they didn't quite fit my '89 CRX. The rotors scraped on the caliper brackets, but some very thin shims inbetween the hub and caliper bracket solved the rubbing problem.

Had the same exact problem. I have a 90 CRX Si with Brembo x-drilled/slotted rotors, rubbed the sides liek crazy, made sooo much noise, all i had to do was like you said, ad a really thin spacer and it solved everything.

Brembo part number for 88-91 Civic and CRX 90-91dx is 09.5285.10 . The part number for the CRX si all models and 88-89 CRX dx eludes me right now, but I never remember it because there is no need to use it.
Physically the CRX si rotor is the same but 1mm thinner.....don't ask me why...and it has a tendancy to warp easier.
The solution is the thicker one on all models and file the caliper carrier brackets to accept 1mm wider rotors. Simple and I been doing this upgrade for years.
BTW local price for these rotors is 42$ CAN brembo blanks... and if you want both styles are available.

IMO dont buy the cross drilled/slotted Brembos if your looking for a rotor that doesnt warp, because they do. They warped faster than my stock crxrotors
Get them if you want that bling factor though, but other than that they dont do ****. I dunno if they work better on other cars or not, but on my crx i warped them about 2 months after i got them. Good luck on finding a place to resurface them too
