Default please help. need answr for my ?

i used to have 14in chrome(not by choice) on my 92-95 eg6, then i put 14in steelies on my ride. now i have Si rims with falken azenis that are wider and the rims are bigger. will this make my rpms higher in 5th gear? cuz when i cruise in fith gear now, it seems like i have to shift to a 6th gear. btw, i have a ls motor swap with a gsr trranny

Find out what the outer circumference of your old tires is and compare them to the circumference of your new ones.

If the circumference of your new tires is smaller than your old ones your rpm will be higher at any speed. But the difference would probably be very minute.

wheel size and width have nothing to do with final drive. it is the overall circumfrence of the tire.

The circumference of a 205/50/15 tire is 72.4792 inches. According to the calculator HERE

If you can remember or find the aspect ratio of your old tires you could figure out the speed differences via THAT website.

The diameter of your wheels/tires is not going to do anything to your RPMs b/c that signal comes off of your distrubtor. But your speedo may be off by a few MPHs...

um the tire size has everything to do with the overall final drive. the smaller diameter, the lower the top speed for engine speed. the taller the tire, the higher top speed for engine speed.
