I bought a set of slipstreams from Steve last November and I must say I was very pleased with the transaction. About $700 for the four rims, lugs, hubcentric rings, tires, mounted/balanced, and shipped to my door. Steve was also very helpfull with all the questions I asked him.

The load rating is how many lbs the wheel can handle before it starts to bend under pressure. I'd just hate to get a wheel that cant hold up to the weight of my car (2640lbs presently) and the pressures of auto-x.

My next question is, if there is a limited supply of these, what happens if a year from now one gets bent or broken?

No 5X114 weren't produced because ..... everyone said they would buy these (4X100) and honestly, they haven't been flying out the door.

Regarding load rating, while these aren't advertised as "road racing" wheels (for liabilitys sake, etc) , they were engineered & mfg with that in mind. They could have been made lighter. They weren't. Still, I believe that @ 13.2 lbs, they are resonably light for a cast wheel.

There is a limited supply of the hubcentric models. There are a few of the standard one-size-fits-all bore models out there. Rota still has the casting.

Is that 1580 lbs the static corner weight on the wheel, or the actual side load?
