i want the best one for the money. im new to alarm so i dont know that much about them...help me

Cliffords are great.

HEre is the best combo of stuff for securty other than LoJack.

Alarm with two horns and a backup battery and a ignition kill switch.

You add:
Fuel pump switch
Auto lock
A removable steering wheel
and disable your power locks if you have them.

 

Think I'll just hire a security gaurd for mine with a huge gun.

LoJack will let you know where it is though.

Customizations:
back-up battery
indoor/outdoor sirens
Hood locks
cut hood release
tilt sensor
motion sensors

And if you have to leave it outside, Clifford/DEI w/ shock sensor, prox sensor, back-up batt and ingition kill, auto-lock (not auto-loc or auto-lok) fuel pump kill switches like a *****.

Actually you are probably right. A type r is MUCH easier to jack than a Ferrari.

 

Instead of Lo-Jack, there are the GPS units and you can look up on the internet and it will show you the location of your car.

Lo-jack is garbage anyways...there are spots in the US that lo-jack does not get reception.

this one gets my vote. + kill switch, + back up battery and some secret stuff

 

yeah man my frined just sold his Clifford intelliguard 7000... sold it for 185... i was a dumbass not to buy it from him sooner

 

I love my compustar... two way paging and a mile and a half of range, they're not cheap though.

 

i found a clifford for 285 is that good?

 

Viper 800 with dual sensors + pagers. works for me with a .22 waiting at my window

 

I have python and it has prevented my car from being stolen, but it has been broken in to. I don't think that brand is that specific, just features. Ignition kill, kill switch, all the sensors, etc. GPS is great but expensive. Try to make it so you don't need to find your car. Auto lock is a good addition.

 

i have a detachable steering wheel , lets see them drive my car away.......and with vice grips or the like......good luck

 

Whats up with the pager? It beeps when your car alarm is going off?
Then what, you run outside and hope the thugs run off.
What happens if the fools got guns or dont give a crap and come
after you with a screw driver?
Then what, you hit the panic button on your key chain?
Pager is not for me.

Brand is not as important as the install. You can have the best alarm and if the install sucks and wires are easily visible then your alarm can be unplugged. Make sure u find a hard to reach/hidden place for the brain and also for any cut off switches (relays)
