Default ITR Intake Cam: Give Me The Truth!

Ok guys. I have a ITR (98 spec) intake camshaft just here in my garage. I was going to install it in my previous Si but I wound up selling the car.

But my brother has a Si (i/h/e) and we were thinking of putting the intake cam only without any tuning. Basically we are just going to drop it in.

Will there be any power gains by just droping the cam in??

We do not want to spend $100 dollars to have it installed and then be dissapointed with the results. Then it will take another $100 to get the stock one put back in. So, basically we do not want to throw $200 dollars away.

Please help me out guys!!

you will see gains, but you might as well change the exhaust cam to an ITR cam while you are at it and save yourself some money.
It will pull right to 8100 rpm now.

-edit-
also make sure to adjust your valves after you put the cams in

Well in order to install the exhaust cam, we have to replace the springs and retainers and ecu. My brother does not have the funds to do that right now.

BTW, does anyone have a dyno plot of a ITR intake cammed b16.

are you using the stock rev limit?
The valve springs in there will be fine and dandy as long as you use the 8100 rpm limit, and are not constaintly bouncing off the limiter.
