Default civic tach problem!!

My cousin just bought a used ex guage cluster. After about a week the tach started to bubble up in different places. I was thinking it is probably a bad ground. Were is the ground located that needs to be replaced and would it be just that one ground?? TIA

If what you mean by "buble up" its jumping around then thats an indication, if everything is hooked up right, that the distributer might be going.

What do you mean? Is the needle "bouncing"? If so, could be ignitor.

It bubbles around the screws right? The one by the fuel is a big bubble and the center ones on the speedo have small rings around it. It's actually a bubble...like when plastic gets too hot, it bubbles. This is how this is...I thought maybe cuz it's very fahking hot down here in south TX that it did that...but I dunno.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Yeah thats exactly what im talking about. I guess its dosent have to do with the outdoor temp. since its only in the mid 60's and under here in va.
