I found 'em on ebay for like $25... they're a little brighter with it because of the heavier gauge wire. Advance Auto Parts also carries an APC version for like $50, but the ebay version is the exact same thing... comes with relays and everything.

Don't worry about what car is for... all you have to worry about is the bulb style... 9007. The harness is exactly the same.

So the Nissan wiring harness conversion with the ultra-bright bulbs will get a Civic set for high intensity lighting?
How hard is it to convert the wiring harness? Does the extra power draw from the bulbs noticeably affect anything else on the vehicle, say, cabin lighting? Does the increased temperature do more wear/tear on the OEM headlight glass enclosure?

It's not really for a Nissan... I think they just did it so it would be easier to find when people are searching on Ebay.
It's very easy to use this harness...
1) Disconnect negative battery terminal
2) Unplug harness from current headlights
3) Take out current headlight bulbs
4) Put in your new bulbs
5) Put weather cap back on
6) Hook up the 2 red wires to your battery
7) For the passenger side, you will need to plug in your old harness to the new harness (it's how it gets the signal to turn on the lights)
8) Then plug the passenger side harness onto the new bulb
9) Their is a ground wire there as well that you need to ground somewhere
10) For the driver side, the original harness just kinda sits there, so just plug the new one into the bulb
11) Now you can mount the 2 relays right near the passenger side headlight.
12) Re-connect the negative battery terminal
13) Turn on the lights and watch 'em shine!!
That's really just about it.... you don't actually have to take your old harness out because it's sorta used.
As for the temperature... I havn't noticed any melting or discoloration... I went for an hour drive the other night, and it's not doing anything except for being bright! haha...
Also, I havn't noticed much for a power draw issue... everything still works as normal

That's not a good thing. That means that your lights are shining in other people's eyes, causing problems for the people that are driving twoards you! Make sure that your headlights are adjusted properly.

Yeah that's true... another thing could be that they're just really bright. The only car I find myself flashing sometimes are Ford Explorers because they seem like their highbeams are always on.

Someday... but first suspension upgrades, then engine... then maybe HID... I'm pretty satisfied with what I have for now.

bulbs like that suck...take my word. my car is slammed to the dirt--and the only way i can even come close to having a field of vision at night is to drive around with my high-beams on ALL the time. i am planning on re-aiming my headlights, but it's also the bulb's fault as well. and rainy/foggy/snowy weather? dont even think about it. it's like you dont even HAVE headlights
. My friend has the Sylvanias in his subaru, and they dont seem that bad--but the ones on ebay look sh!tty. either save up the cash and get real HID's, or just buy the Sylvania's for now. here's a HOW-TO for a retro-fit HID into an EK stock housing---you might have to registher on CHB to view it...

Word up. What are you thinking of doing for your suspension?

Just ordered JIC Magic CF Strut tower bars... within a month or so, Tein SS Coilovers, Comptech rear lower tie bar/sway bar combo, Energy Suspension urethane bushing kit, and a few other things... that's the shopping list for now though.
I disagree about not being able to see in the rain/snow etc though... I can see better than I could before with my stock headlight bulbs. I get a lot more reflection off the rain, so visibility is quite a bit better actually.

Don't get euroblue bulbs...the brightness is horrible, and the blueness gets gay after a little while. Get these:
Nice and bright, only 17.88 for a pair at Wal-Mart
Here's my complete writeup on them (story included): https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=656723

Very off topic buy why the hell does every ebay bulb that is sold on ebay use this same picture:
Or that other picture that has bulbs shining on a white garage door.
