need some new speakers
I need new speakers. I wanted to know the speakers that are average quality and thier price, and I want to know best quality and the prices, and also the best bang for the buck. thanks. I was also curious about head units. I was looking at the sony M850MP... looks pretty tite thanks again.
What kind of speakers are you looking for? 2-way, 3-way, 4-way, components, amp, no amp?
Don't go for a sony deck, go Alpine, you can't go wrong.

Im just looking to replace all of my speakers in my car. im not sure about the 2way and such. im assuming 4way is better so I would like to go with that. Im looking to spend like a few hundred on my speakers, nothing too crazy very clear. thanks again
Best bang for the buck: Infinity Reference 6.5" around $100 a pair
My favorite is Infinity Kappa 6.5" seperates, but around $300 a set they are kinda pricey.

I just installed that head unit in my friends car yesterday.. Its pretty cool and the screen is really vibrant. My only complaint is the buttons, the buttons are really hard to push in and the click noise it makes is starting to bug me... He remidied that by using the remote.. lol

Not necessarily. A high-quality two can be much better than a 3 or 4 way speaker. Don't get me wrong - all other aspects being equal, a 3 or 4 way speaker can be phenomenal. A cheap one just gets you a bunch of crappy drivers. Not to mention that 3 and 4 way crossovers are tricky (and expensive) to do correctly. You'd be better off with a well built two way on the low end of the price spectrum - especially running off of a headunit (especially especially a stock one!
).
That being said, JL Audio makes some nice speakers for reasonable money.

My friend works at best buy and can get me VERY good deals on the stuff thier, so I have been looking into rockford fosgate and pioneer. What are your recomendations on speakers from either of these two. thanks
I'm not crazy about either of them, but I suppose Rockford is OK. JL is pretty much the only car speaker I've heard that is well-balanced and clean.
