What kind of speakers are you looking for? 2-way, 3-way, 4-way, components, amp, no amp?

Don't go for a sony deck, go Alpine, you can't go wrong.

Look at Polk and Infinity speakers. both are great quality and won't cost you an arm and a leg.

as for HU, I like Alpine the best

Best bang for the buck: Infinity Reference 6.5" around $100 a pair
My favorite is Infinity Kappa 6.5" seperates, but around $300 a set they are kinda pricey.

I just installed that head unit in my friends car yesterday.. Its pretty cool and the screen is really vibrant. My only complaint is the buttons, the buttons are really hard to push in and the click noise it makes is starting to bug me... He remidied that by using the remote.. lol

Not necessarily. A high-quality two can be much better than a 3 or 4 way speaker. Don't get me wrong - all other aspects being equal, a 3 or 4 way speaker can be phenomenal. A cheap one just gets you a bunch of crappy drivers. Not to mention that 3 and 4 way crossovers are tricky (and expensive) to do correctly. You'd be better off with a well built two way on the low end of the price spectrum - especially running off of a headunit (especially especially a stock one! ).

That being said, JL Audio makes some nice speakers for reasonable money.

I'm not crazy about either of them, but I suppose Rockford is OK. JL is pretty much the only car speaker I've heard that is well-balanced and clean.

Get a set of MB Quarts, maybe the PCE 216's, then amp them, and you will not be happier.
