96-98 dx hb intake manifold curiosity

does anyone have any remarks as to the design of this manifold? can you replace it with a different oem manifold? any info is appreciated.

although, i was wondering, can you possibly use the mani off a 92-95 ex on a 96-98 d16y7?

i guess you could considering the only electrical connections are on the tb.
