Default an Estimate for my CrX~~

hehe actually i just wanted to post pics of my new baby. i am asking a tech question so i can post pictures and not have it moved . i have multiple dings and dents, even a hole. by my key holes, maybe someone tried to break in? but anyway, how much do u think it'd generally cost to have all those filled/popped out? and my ZC engine does not* have a clutch fluid resevoir?? is this normal?

might not be able to see the dent by my honda symbol on the hood, but its there. and the integra is my sisters

are you sure thats a zc engine??

looks like a dpfi dx engine... like your car. a dx.

and if you really want to see how much it costs to fix. take it to a body shop. this is honda tech. not macco.

yes im sure its a ZC, the seller had the papers for it, and everything on its in japanese writing, i checked the place for the code and it does verify that its a SOHC ZC, and seeing as how the SOHC ZC is basically a crx SI engine, i'd say thats a reason for the confusion of it being a stock engine, because it is..just from japan

if thats a SOHC ZC then its running like **** becuz its being starved of fuel becuz its still got dual point injection. And you dont have clutch fluid cuz u have a cable tranny...like every other pre 92 civic in the world came with stock.

instead of flaming, why not help me out and guide me on what to do? i bought the car as a first car, i know i wanted a crx though. i dont know anything about ZC engines so spare the "know it all" flamming. i know you guys dont come here to post all negative comments thanks.

I wasnt flaming, anyway its really hard to give you a price on what something like that will cost without seeing the car first hand. I would suggest popping into a bodyshop and getting a quote usually those guys will have a look and give you an idea of what it will cost you.

I would say it costs 4-500, but for 600 you could bring it to earl schieb and get the whole car repainted whatever color you want and with a 6 yr warranty, and see if they'll take the dings out also. Dunno its worth a try.

what does your engine code say?.. sorry but i have problems believeing its a ZC engine, with the Dual Point Fuel Injection still on it.. i mean what idiot in there right mind would put a ZC engine with the DPFI?.. besides i thought the valve cover looked alittle different in the ZC's i've seen... i think someone ripped u.. i could be wrong but it just doesn't make any sence... and yeah all pre 92 civic's came with cable clutch not hydrolic.
as for your body work.. no one could quote u an accurate price here unless they do the work.. take it somewhere and get an esimate.. most places don't charge to esimate... its all gonna depend on what kinda job you want.. half *** or show quality.. could range from 200 to 2000.. just depends.

I advice for you.. convert your car to MPFI quick!.. you proally are straving that motor for fuel.. and it could burn up a valve or piston. DO a seach for MPFI conversion you'll get loads of info... over all nice car.. how much did u get it for?

no offense but if that is a ZC, then your rims must be Slipstreams...

well if it says ZC then the block is at least a ZC, maybe the head isn't and thats why they kept the DPFI.. not sure...
but yeah if your swaping in another motor then no sweat.. but u'll have a hard time selling the old one with the DPFI sitting on it.
lots of people are gonna flame u hear for swapping in an h22a.. but don't listen.. its a pain in the *** to do.. but should be worth it

Sounds like most of u never heard of a SOHC ZC. I have a SOHC ZC swap right now in my garage (it was my old set up) and it looks identical to the DX/SI long blocks. If u say the engine code is in fact "ZC", then u have at least a SOHC ZC short block in there, not sure which head u have but most likely its the one it came with. The 2 heads also look identical from the outside.

well u can keep that motor you have in there for now, the SOHC ZC puts out like 125HP i think?.. which is plenty, but you just need to convert it to MPFI.. to do that.. you need the dizzy, manifold, injectors, resistor box, and ECU from a 88-91 crx/civic SI or EX.
you might get lucky and get all the parts off someone here for like 150 bucks.. labor is easy and there is plenty of info on here to do it yourself. bascially right now your motor is kinda carburated.. 2 injectors controls by a computer and it shoots fuel down the intake manifold.
where as MPFI is 4 injectors one on each cylinder.. and its controlled and timed by the dizzy and computer.. its much more effient and give more HP and better reponse.
