My car was stolen from lot16, the one next to Chili's today (27th) from 11am-1pm. Just plain gone. No glass no nothing. I am asking you guys to keep an eye out for it. Its a 1992 CX w/ B16 with the LSD tranny. It has bronze rota C8s. If anyone sees this thing driving around call the cops immediatly.

Thanks guys, if you could keep an eye out that would be awesome. My brother's car got stolen in SF a while back and honda-tech really helped us out. We got my brother's car back I think, in large part to the response from my post. I hope the same happens for me! So to all AZ people, please keep your eyes peeled. I also have the block number so if you know of anyone selling a B16 let me know, lol. I know its a long shot.
Are there any known chop shops or areas where stolen cars end up? Like Apache Junction or something?

Definetly Lock your doors. I got my GSR stolen about a month ago and I only owned the car for about 3 weeks, my pride and joy gone in less than a month. Its defiently a shitty feeling, they found my car completely stripped, hopefully yours will turn up. I just got a del sol, and even though I'm sure its not as sought after by thieves as much as a GSR, i'm still going to be putting a kill switch in. Good luck though bro, I know exactly how you feel, unfortunately.

 

Yeah after this little occurence I dont know if I'll get another honda. I love Hondas but ****, I cant compete with tow trucks and ******* coordinated efforts just to steal a stupid civic with rims. We'll see how it all turns outl. It's only day 1.

I keep my eye's open for it, I always notice 92-95 hatchbacks when I am out and about!

Generally speaking if you don't have it back in 8hrs or less, its a lost cause (you wouldnt want it back anyway). I understand how you feel.. it is very hard to compete with pro's who drive tow trucks that APPEAR to be legit. ... thieves with a badge is all they are.

 

Any theft protection? Always interesting to see how the lastest devices are holding up

Yeah I am curious too, any kind of anti-theft devices installed at the time of the theft?

 

Well if you saw my car in real life you would see it looked pretty ghetto. I didnt think anyone would want it. The paint was messsed up and the roof was completley oxidized. I just locked the doors and took my face plate from my stereo.

For christmas I was goig to get the auto lock and a detachable hub. But too late now.

But the one thing I did learn from honda-tech is to not leave a damn thing in your car so luckily I didnt leave anything in there. I keep the inside empty.

I love those panasports, good thing I didnt leave them on!!

Thats the only 'real' reason I sold my hybrid hatch. Good luck bro... believe it or not, driving a Non-Honda ain't bad at all.

 

Well the cops just called and said they found my car. Its at a tow yard right now and they say its driveable. Ill post pics up as soon as I get back. I dont know what condition its in, just know its "driveable"

 

Hopefully everything turns out ok. I have had my car stolen before (completely stripped of anything and everything aftermarket - including my B16 ). Rebuilt the car and then 2 weeks ago it got broken into again (stole ECU, CDs, tried to take my headunit). I have also realized to not leave **** in my car anymore. There is absolutely NOTHING worth stealing in my car. Also, after the first theft I got smart and beefed up my security a little bit...

 

when i went to get my sentra from the tow yard, it was driveable too... but it was missing both headlights, seats, radio, and intake. I hope they just took yours for a joy ride.

 

What exactly is the auot loc. Isn't that, that device that kills the starter? Just curious....

Sorry to here about your loss. The car looked pretty low key. You might want to consider the possibility of it being somebody that you know, or knows you. Odds are good that whoever stole it knew that there was a B16 in the car. Just a thought..... Good Luck man....
