Default d16a6 cam

Just looking at specs on EF-1 cam for d16 and it is 265 duration and 10.2 of lift. Is that agressive or should i got bigger. I''m aiming for mid 13's. And i'm using p29 pistons.

pm exospeedamcrx ... he's on this board and I believe is the head honcho at exospeed

also, pm bisimoto ... he had an all motor D15 SOHC non-vtec running low 10's so i'm sure he'd know a good cam

we also have 2 more stages available above the SR909 and the Race 909 for the A6.

Those are for the serious racers who REALLY want power out of the A6 motor.

our SR909 and Race A6 have put out an average of about 135-145 to the wheels with head work and bolt ons using a stock block.

I may have missed it posted somewhere, but are your cams regrinds or not?

Possibly a stupid question, but which head/aftermarket cam setup will make the most power assuming identical specs...the a6 or z6?

our stage 1-4 cams for the A6 are grinds from stock core. our custom special stage 5 A6 cam is from a billet core. we have head packages that work well with the specified cam of your choice.
its all preference if you want to use a6 or z6. i personally like the Wildness of the A6 motor in that it brings me back to the old school lumpy style cams. with the z6/vtec sohc motors, you really cant get that since it doesnt work the same with the VTEC function. and it actually limited how crazy we can get with the stock z6 core. but our stage 2 sohc vtec camshaft works the best with tuning and a proper intake manifold and header setup.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear! I'm used to the lopey flat-four and V8 cams, so that would be part of what I would like to achieve with my setup. Not to mention, it saves me from buying another head.
I have a question about your Race a6 cam. I will send you a PM.
