looking at modded GSR that sprayed nitrous
looking for a GSR (very hard to find for a good price) and i found a modded 94' GSR with 117k miles. the motor was completely replaced and the new one only has 30k miles on it.
he did spray a 50shot wet system for 4k miles, BUT IT WAS ON THE OLD MOTOR, NOT THE NEW ONE! mods include, i/e/h mild cams, short shifter, clutch.
so what do you guys think. hes asking a pretty good price, but what else could nitrous affect other than motor. he did not spray on new motor, but could it affect the trans or anything else i should be worried about?
i wanted something stock, but i would have put on cams, i/e/h and all that anyways. would anyone advise getting a car like this.
thanks

117k is quite a few miles. ask for paper work on the "new 30k miles motor" and test drive it. i bought my car with 146k but it was babyed stock car. with mods like i/h/e you know he races it and you know its getting beat up on.

Wouldn't really effect anything... Unless it wore the clutch more.
Edit: Just saw he replaced the clutch.
Its fine. I would just check the compression.... not because of nitrous, just to help see the condition of the engine.

he did admit to racing the car at the track and all. but he said that since he put the new motor, clutch, flywheel, and rebuilt tranny in, it hasnt been raced since those were put in.
i know not to fully believe him, but i am just curious as to what you guys have to say. like i said before, i am very knowledgeable of the import scene, but just dont have that much "hand on" experience with integras.
my main thing in looking for an integra gsr is RELIABLITIY, RELIABILITY. i am looking at buying cars between 100-135k miles and want the car to last like 4years without any major work. so i am hoping for it to go like 250k. i dont have the cash to constantly put into the car if its falling apart. but i chose the gsr integra because they have acura/honda reliability, good build, and from what i hear, are real solid cars.
can anyone say different?
thanks
