EXEDY ????????
I was just wondering if anyone has had any storys to tell about these clutches. and what is a good clutch for an everyday driver that goes to the track like 2 times a month?????(not a very fast civic w/z6)
i have an exedy stage 1 (stock replacemnt) supposedly 20% stronger than stock clutches. it grabs well the only thing is that the pressure plate it came with is very soft (i personally like heavy clutches sinc ei leanred on a cable tranny subaru)
to each hius own, i have nothing but good coming from exedy

I have the organic disc exedy (along with their 9.1 lb chromoly flywheel) and it's a fine setup. Plenty of dragstrip, auto-x, HPDE and daily driver abuse without a single problem.
Pedal feel is a wee bit firmer than stock, but far from being uncomfortable.

Exedy on a JRSC EM1. Holds good for $250 from http://www.clutchcityonline.com.
Yeah i have heard very good things as far as EXEDY products go. They are relatively inexpensive too. Look around on ebay for the one you want, i am sure that they have it.
Exedy is a very nice clutch, but i prefer to go with centerforce.... a lil move expensive but well worth it, we took a stage 2 out of a 87 supra that we power shifted that was running 300hp on the dyno and after 3 and a half months of dayly driving and beating the **** outa that car it came out looking brand new... so i stick with CENTERFORCE
If you are going to get an oem replacement exedy, you might as well use ebay. Clutchcityonline has them on there for I guess about half of what they charge in their online store if the guy paid $250 from their store.
Keep in mind that for the d-series there are 2 Exedy organic clutches. There is the stock oem replacement which you can get anywhere for around $100. Then there is the exedy organic racing clutch that usually goes for around $250. Then there is the cerametallic. Don't know how much it goes for.
The exedy organic racing clutch is comparable to the ACT HDSS. the organic racing is 69% stronger than stock.

Hmmm....I thought my clutch was slipping, but I can still chirp 2nd. So would that mean it's just my imagination?
