got the banjo bolt fine, but the other bolt on the fuel filter of my 93 ex wont come off! tried everything, pb blaster, all kinds of wrenches- it just wont budge. im pretty sure its the original filter and my car has 134,xxx miles and i really wanna replace it. is that bolt attatched to the metal fuel line that it holds in place? cause if its not i can strip the **** outta the bolt- get it off and just put a new one on. anyone have any advice or ideas??? tia
Try grabbing 2 wrenches in one hand. Put one on the part that you are supossed to brace the fuel filter with ( a 19mm I think) and get it so when you put the 14 mm on the top, you can just squeeze with your hands. You would be seriously surprised how much you can break loose like that. Throw a towel over the end though, so when it does come loose you don't end up spraying gas all over!!
i had the same problem, i tried the breaker bar and the two wrench trick and the thing still didnt come off, so i borrowed a 14mm flare wrench from one of my friends, sprayed some WD40 around the edges of the line, and after a little hard work with a breaker bar it came off with no problem. you can't strip the hell out of that bolt because its fit to the fuel line.
