Default Negative Camber....cheep solution..

I saw a guy with a G2 teg that did his own rear camber adjustments by changing a bolt somewhere in the suspension.... he used a longer bolt, but I am unaware of how this works.... if that's all you need to do...why do camber kits cost $100+ ?

Anyone know about this ?

I have done this mod. You change the bolt on the upper control arm with longer ones and put washers in between the body and the upper control arm. This will push the upper arm out and will fix negative camber in a way.

Having a rear camber kit would also fix camber like the method said above but the difference is, you can fine tune or have your camber exactly where you want it set and exactly the same on both rear wheels. Doing the washer trick would only fix camber depending on the thickness of the washers installed.

Is this safe as far a driveablity..? Eg: can I drag race and Auto X on occasion with this type of setup ? I do not need to set my camber to an exact point,
I likes some negative camber, don't mind the slightly shorter tire life to get better cornering, but I have a little over 1.5 deg neg and wonder if I should get the real deal, or make it (bolts and washers).

If you have the money, then go with the real deal but if you don't have the $$ right now, like me, then do the washer trick. I know of people who Auto-X with washers at the back and didn't have a problem. Just don't go more with 4 washers per bolt. I have 3 washers per bolt right now. I'll let you know what size washers they are when i get home today.
