Just wondering if anyone has tried this?

Yes they do and I haven't found a driver's side replacement axle yet.
I tried a 90-93 Integra axle - goes in the int. shaft fine, goes into the hub fine but it's about 1-1.5" too short. I tried a 86-89 Integra axle - goes in the int. shaft fine, but is too big and won't fit the hub but it was the right length. So it looks like it's either the exact 88-91 wagon driver's axle or making a custom one.

It didn't fit on the zc block, the hole didn't line up.

I'm about 95% sure that the ZC axles/half shaft have a larger input spline into the tranny, than the wagon.

i have a wagon with a ZC in it. i am limited to the factory wagon axels because of my 4wd. i just replaced the knuckels in them last week. screw new axels, just have your axels refurbished at a local axel shop. if you need them to fit a ZC tranny, then bring the shop your ZC inners and wagon outers and have them fabricate new ones. <i also did this with my EF with the b16 swap. factory outers and the new inners to match the tranny.

Ok. so did you use the zc tranny or the stock 4wd tranny? What I am trying to get at is..will the 4wd axles plug into the zc half shaft.

on a side note, does anyone have measurements for the zc axles? as I have a set of 4wd axles and would like to be able to check measurements. Thanks

i am using the stock 4wd tranny. insted of loosing the 4wd when switching to a ZC tranny i was going to try to swap some gears out. because the 4wd tranny is a wider ratio and it just dosent climb like it should.

Yeah.. I know how that is.. my wagon is a beast in 1st or 2nd.. but after that.. blah.
Have you ever done any 4wheelin in yours? I take mine into crazy mud and all kinda slop all the time. it's great. I have read several comments about how the 4wd drive train only sends 10% to the back end..but after really abusing mine for over a year, I have to say it's a lot more.. maybe even 50/50 when fully engaged. The rear end will slide around just like a rwd car if you get on it in the sand. anyway....

.... after crawling under my wagon today and sighting the inner joint against one used ZC one i have, I am pretty sure they are the same. I'm going to autozone today to buy some.. cross your fingers for me and hope they work.

I bought a ZC intermediate shaft and a ZC transmission. I have a rt4wd auto with
an intermediate shaft and equal length drive shafts. I am converting my wagon to 2wd. The ZC shaft I purchased appears to be the same length as the intermediate shaft for the ZC transmission. I plugged them both into each other (ZC tranny & rt4wd auto tranny) 2 mos ago when I did my CV boot replacement on both outer shafts as a cross check for compatibility.
I searched this one months ago too, I know how you feel. I coulda saved some$$, I just had to make sure.
Hope this helps.

Yep, I'm pretty sure the half shafts are the same part. both bolt up to a D series block and both accept the wagon axles... the 4wd wagon and the ZC both use Integra style shafts .. the entire shaft is beefy like the Integra. The Wagon driver side shaft is about 2cm longer than the integra one.. but the hatch's track is about 2/10ths of an inch wider (even wider if your car is lowered). I have 4wd wagon axles on order and they should be in by Tuesday.

SOMEONE MEASURE SOME REAL ZC AXLES FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
